Job Duties:
• Maintain and update employee records including attendance, number of hours worked, overtime, and sick leave employees have worked.
• Calculating wages and salaries based on the record maintained for each employee.
• Ensure to include all benefits and deduct all applicable federal and provincial taxes and insurance and pension plans as applicable.
• Issuing employees’ wages by cash, cheque, or electronic transfer
• Work hand in hand with the human resources department to prepare and maintain employees’ data.
• Calculating pay raises, shift payments, and overtime compensation.
• Issuing tax forms and related documentation and assisting employees to complete them.
• Prepare and provide T4 and year-end tax statements to the employees.
• Prepare and file a Record of Employment with the concerned authority and maintain a record for the same.
• Provide information regarding payroll and benefits to the employees on request.
• Resolving issues of employees regarding timesheets, payslips, and other payroll matters in coordination with the HR Team.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school will be an asset.
• Completing a college course in payroll administration or related field business OR any experience in the field would be preferred but not mandatory.
