Wage: $30.00 to $32.00 / hour (based on skill level; salary increases as per Company policy).

Industry experience: Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction, Road construction
Work Site Environment: Outdoors, Dusty
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding, Overtime required, Attention to detail; Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract), Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements
Duties:
Reporting to the Foreman, a Concrete Finisher is responsible for placement, smoothing and final finish of poured concrete. A Concrete Finisher will complete tasks such as, hand work, troweling, finishing, clearing forms, shoveling, using hand tools and basic equipment operation
• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Fill hollows and remove high spots to smooth freshly poured concrete
• Operate power vibrator to compact concrete
• Level top surface of concrete according to grade and depth specifications using straightedge or float
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
• Apply hardening and sealing compounds to cure surface of concrete
• Waterproof, damp-proof and restore concrete surfaces
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of floors, curb and gutter, walls, roads, and other concrete structures
• Using a rake or shovel, spread concrete and other construction materials for padding or setting concrete and or structures.
• Occasionally direct traffic by placing, removing, covering, and uncovering traffic control signs, cones, barricades, etc.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
• Operate equipment, such as pneumatic hammers, vibrators, tampers, and skid steer as required.
