OPTIMA TRUCKING (Employer) is looking for a Gravel truck driver for Permanent employment (Full time - 40 hours per week)
Main location is Calgary, AB, T2A 6C1
Salary: 30 hourly / 40 hours per Week
Start date: Starts as soon as possible

Experience:
The previous experience is a plus but the Company will train and help with the education process to receive the required certifications to drive a gravel truck - Air Brakes Endorsement and Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)

Responsibilities
Tasks
Load and unload goods
Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
Perform brake adjustments
Perform emergency roadside repairs
Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
Perform preventive maintenance
Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Credentials
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses:
Air Brakes Endorsement
Class 3/3F/DF Licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles)
Experience and specialization

Trip reports
