Job description
Job title: Restaurant manager (NOC 60030)
Nature: Full-time permanent
Wage: $21.5/hour
Work hours: Monday-Sunday, 35 hours/week
Address: 82 West Street, Corner Brook, NL, A2H 2Z3
Language: English
Vacation: 2 weeks of paid vacation per annum or remuneration of 4% of basic salary
Job duties
1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the restaurant.
2. Direct service and work routines to ensure an exceptional catering experience.
3. Communicate with suppliers to maintain inventory and sourcing needs.
4. Settle customer complaints promptly and effectively.
5. Evaluate staff performance and assign shifts accordingly.
6. Train new employees to acclimate them to our work environment.
7. Adhere to legal requirements and regulations applicable to the restaurant.
8. Engage with customers to understand and meet their expectations.
Job requirements
1. Completion of secondary school is a must.
2. A college diploma in hospitality or food and beverage service management or a related field is preferred.
3. At least a year of working experience as a restaurant manager or similar role is a must.
4. Basic computer skills.
5. Good leadership, management and communication skills.
6. Being good in a second language is preferred.
