About the role: 

 

Join the Market Insights Team as a Senior Specialist for the Vancouver Housing Market. In this role, you will develop and deliver on a Client Relationship Management strategy for the Vancouver and surrounding area.   You will have a strong understanding of how the Vancouver housing market works and be able to identify and discuss trends to all your clients. You will spend time understanding the needs of your clients and communicating these needs across the division to better support analysis planning, improve corporate knowledge and contribute to future analysis projects. You will use our housing analysis to advise and support clients on making decisions that will accelerate housing affordability. You will maintain an expert standing on housing economic issues and act as a key corporate spokesperson for the Vancouver market.   
  
What you’ll do: 
  

  • Build partnerships and collaborate with identified clients as part of the client relationship management strategy. 
  • Leverage housing market analysis and other insights to advise/support the client’s decisions to accelerate housing affordability.   
  • Understand the client's decision process, knowledge gaps, their understanding of housing markets and their analysis needs.    
  • Act as a key corporate spokesperson with clients and the media. 
  • Provide thought leadership, advice and recommendations regarding the department's housing market analysis plan. 
  • Ensure ongoing understanding of market trends, housing market risks, and market drivers to guide timely and relevant analysis planning.   
  • Determine relevant areas of research based on client feedback and lead/contribute to projects that address these needs.   

  
What you should have:  
  

  • A postgraduate degree in Economics. 
  • A minimum of five years of experience in an economic role and in a client relationship management environment. 
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of public and private data and comprehension of housing market services to monitor and understand target market(s). 
  • Advanced ability to communicate complex economic and housing concepts, both written and orally, to different audiences. 
  • Ability to provide consultation, client service and delivery of products. 
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate working relationships across sectors and/or corporate teams. 

 

It would be great if you also had: 

  • Working knowledge of French.
