Description

Nipawin Housing Authority (NHA) manages a property and program services portfolio on behalf of Saskatchewan Housing Corporation. The housing authority provides affordable housing to low-income seniors, families and others who could not otherwise access safe, secure housing within Nipawin and neighboring communities. The Housing Authority is looking for an energetic, client facing administrator to join the team. If people are your passion and you have proven problem solving and records management experience, we'd love to hear from you!

What you will do:
-Process housing applications, conduct income reviews, calculate rental fees, and collect rent
-Explain leasing agreements and expectations of tenancy
-Investigate lease violations; assist and perform procedures for tenant hearings in conjunction with the Office of the Residential Tenancies
-Monitor, maintain contact, and manage record keeping of current/former tenants
-Liaise with tenants, families, human service agencies and stakeholders to help make everyday life and the social housing experience safer, healthier and more enjoyable for all tenants
-Prepare and monitor banking statements, investigate discrepancies
-Maintain office systems and procedures and provide guidance to administrative support

What we are looking for:
-Exceptional customer relations skills and ability to maintain positive work relationships
-Ability to problem solve, manage conflict and stressful situations
-Superior administrative skills
-Accountability and ownership of the role with demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills

What you will bring:
-Post-secondary in business administration or social services with experience in a property management environment OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
-Proven expertise using Microsoft Office products
-A valid driver's license and a licensed roadworthy vehicle
-Respect for diversity of others
-An acceptable Enhanced Police Information Check is required
