Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Administer staff consultation and grievance procedures. Assign projects to subordinates and staff related to work safety, environmental safety and accident prevention.. Direct staff. Provide information/training to employers, employees and general public. Review HR directives to assure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations . Train staff. Establish and implement policies and procedures. Inspect spills of hazardous chemicals or products. Inspect workplaces for safety or health hazards. Investigate workplace accidents or illnesses. Manage training and development strategies. Develop and implement health and safety plans. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Oversee the preparation of reports. Advise senior management. Respond to employee questions and complaints. Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures. Evaluate work environments, programs and procedures to control, eliminate, and prevent disease or injury. Supervision: Committees.
