ME to WE is seeking a Manager to oversee the Ottawa Rideau Centre WE Store. The candidate would be responsible for driving significant growth across Bricks and Mortar retail, a temporary retail pop-up shop. Reporting to the Director of Retail, the Manager will be responsible for aligning with the Direct Sales Team for growth in the retail sales channel. Beyond the management of the store, the ideal candidate is someone who thinks creatively and is interested in contributing their sales expertise to every project while working closely and collaborating with the Marketing and Operations Teams.

Your Impacts:

Budgeting & Forecasting

Responsible for driving growth in retail channel, in collaboration with the Director of retail and the operations team.
Execute on target revenue goals at store level.
Set and measure KPIs at store level.
Provide forecast and budget summary roll-ups (weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end) to the Director of retail.
Analyze and oversee costs
Payroll percentage analysis
In-store promotions

Product, Planning, & Merchandising

Oversee product and sales strategies at store level, working closely with the Director of retail and the Operations team.
Top-performer product plans
Newness forecasting
Sell-through opportunities outside of trends
Seasonal forecasting and tracking (marketing collateral, promotions, testing)
Work collaboratively with the Manager of Toronto Eaton Centre (TEC) and Marketing & Communication, and Digital Media teams to execute a marketing, content and communication plan that will support new product launches, events, partnership activations, programs and sales strategies in the store.
Work collaboratively with the Director of Retail and the Manager of the TEC to create a quarterly promotions calendar with strategy to support sales goals
Annual planning with Director in order to drive strategy, yearly revenue targets, promotions, events, and campaigns.
Responsible for visual merchandising flips (Sourcing, buying, setting up) and maintaining merchandising standards. Support from the TEC Manager and Product Development team

Operations & Administration

Deliver reports on weekly, monthly, quarterly analysis (sales, top sellers, promotions, payroll, events, and campaigns) to different stakeholders.
Reports to Director and CEO on events and campaigns.
Manages store profit and loss at store level.
Responsible for scheduling staff hours and processing payroll.
Responsible for hiring, training new part-time staff.
Delivering outstanding customer service and experiences.
Working with the Operations team to reconcile sales in Inventory Management system.
Monitor inventory, product sales, and general supplies – reordering when necessary and reordering proactively
Communicate effectively with warehouse team to replenish stock


Plan and execute in-store events that will help to bring brand awareness and create revenue for the store. In collaboration with the Director of Retail, Manager of TEC and Marketing & Digital team.

Leadership & Performance Management

Provide guidance and hands-on leadership with Rideau store team (Full time and Part time)
Drives Channel performance and holds the team accountable to revenue goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Manage and re-organize team priorities to ensure alignment with organization-wide priorities
Continuously work to improve and upgrade the existing skill set of the team (brand knowledge, product knowledge etc.)
Create staff schedule on a bi-weekly basis
Assist to hire part-time staff
Administer performance reviews
Provide consistent informal and formal training around product knowledge and all potential areas of customer engagement with Me to We Artisans, Products and Events
Act as an ambassador for all areas of the organization, and ensure staff are up to date on key messaging and new organizational priorities
Ensure the team meets targeted sales goals & foot traffic to conversation ratios
Create an environment of consistency, reliability, and accountability
Role model of superior customer service
Set agenda with Director of Retail and lead store staff bi-weekly meetings

What you bring:

Post-Secondary Degree, Bachelor’s Degree
Knowledge of retail industry and marketing process
Experienced strategic thinker with a track-record in both strategic planning and tactical execution
Critical thinking: being curious, questioning assumptions, seeing opportunity where others don’t, managing ambiguity
Working in a fast paced environment where change is constant and rapid decision making.
Outstanding work ethic and proven ability to take initiative and remain organized and solution driven

Microsoft Office: Outlook, Word, excel, PowerPoint
French language skills is an asset.
