Amar Framing Ltd. is a busy finishing and wood working contracting company operating within lower mainland. We are looking for 03 Framer - Carpenter to have in our team. As Framer - Carpenter, the candidate must perform the following job duties.
Job Duties:
• Select, Measure, cut and assemble the framing lumber needed to build residential, commercial or industrial
buildings
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches and drawings for carpentry projects
• Cut and shape materials and join them into nails, screws, bolts or glue
• Repair existing structures and flooring
• Perform finishing construction work, such as hanging drywall and paneling over completed framework
• Adhere to all safety protocols while on the job, including wearing proper safety clothing and gear
• Erect the basic structure of a building or other construction project
• Keep the job site clean and organized at all times by putting away their own tools and materials after use,
sweeping up and performing other cleaning tasks
Requirements:
• Education: Completion of secondary school is required
• Experience: 1-2 years of experience in the trade
• Certificate/Training: Trade certification will be an asset, but not mandatory
• Language: Basic English is a requirement
Other Skills:
• Willing and able to perform physically demanding work including the ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Able to make accurate measurements and do basic mathematical and geometric tabulations
• Willing to work outdoors, indoors, and all-weather conditions
