Academic, Training and Experience Qualifications
Completion of diploma in law including Paralegal Education, Law Clerk, Legal Secretary
Minimum 1-year experience in Canadian Immigration law is required and 2 years of administrative assistant experiences are assets
Ability to work in an extremely busy and fast paced environment under tight deadlines
Ability to support the immigration consultant with a high-volume caseload
Must be highly organized and detail oriented with strong time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills as a team player

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Draft, review and proofread application forms, documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with immigration program requirements and immigration regulations under the Immigration Consultant’s supervision
Draft application submissions and correspondences and Privacy and ATIP requests under the Immigration Consultant’s supervision
Draft Provincial nominee applications (Ontario, Alberta, Nova Scotia) under the Immigration Consultant’s supervision
Participate in client file management and continuous process improvement efforts
Oversee and maintain organized client’s electronic files on the system in a regular basis
Keep abreast of legislative, regulatory and policy changes that affect our clients and/or case processing
Responsible for implementing and managing administrative processes in support of our clients and resolve administrative issues and concerns
Take part in the meeting to establish office procedures and policies
Supervise junior legal assistants and provide the training sessions for new employees
Attend weekly meetings as scheduled, may also be required to work extra hours during important deadlines (such as month ends, quarter ends, and year ends)
Perform various administrative duties including, among other duties organizing and managing files including tracking dates, doing spreadsheets, photocopying/faxing submission packages
Follow up payment procedures for the collection of money from clients, invoicing, and reporting/noting to Immigration Consultant and accounting officer
Reconcile government application fee and other expenses
