 Description  : Focus Media, a Vancouver based media marketing technique company. We proudly provide a “one-stop” branding strategy to Metro Vancouver customers. Our services include but not limited to website development and maintenance, graphic design and visual identity package, social media account management, commercial video and talk show production, event planning and brand marketing.

Our social media channels include WeChat public account, Focus Media TV channel on both Tencent and YouTube. Our TV channel is highlighted by customized talk shows, the topic involves immigration, real estate, law and local hot issues in Metro Vancouver. We also have branding and marketing strategies through social media and video channels.

The Vice President directs and oversees an organization’s strategic and long-range goal planning function. It focuses on critical enterprise-wide issues across all business lines and functions and acts as an internal strategic consulting resource to drive organic and acquisition growth and efficiencies to the company.

In this role, you will work in partnership with the Director on critical business issues/opportunities to drive medium-term strategic objectives and long-term aspirations for the company. You will establish strong relationships and partnerships and work on enterprise-wide initiatives that cross several lines of businesses and on a diverse range of topics including M&A, strategic planning, and other value-add special projects to help shape the strategy of the business. Most importantly, for client experience improvement and business development purposes, the key role of this position is to generate systematic branding solutions by fully integrating the company’s business resources and products.
Job Duties:
1. Strategic Planning
• Lead the implementation of the company’s current strategies while identifying and planning medium-term strategic objectives and long-term goals and aspirations.
• Develop and implement systems, policies, programs that are related to the achievement of the company’s goals and objectives.
• Evaluate and monitor the relevance of daily operation and marketing development to align with the company’s strategic priorities.
• Operation of the daily business routine and collaboration with the senior management team on long-term business growth strategies.
• Integrate the company’s business resource and products for all the participants to interact seamlessly and come as a whole business branding solution for clients
2. Operational Management
• Oversee the company-wide operational activities and issues across all business lines including sales and marketing, administration, human resources, finance, and business planning and development.
• Develop, approve and manage the marketing and advertising activities for the company and its marketing and advertising product lines.
• Provide constructive leadership ensuring a healthy, positive culture to engage all internal staff and departments through effective and consistent communication.
• Manage and develop staff through training, succession planning in order to accomplish a consistent business growth.
• Formulate and approve the external recruitment and internal promotion process of the company in order to accomplish a successful talent selection procedure.
3. Client and Partner Relations
• Analyze situations and make decisions that will directly impact the relations with the company’s clients and partners while developing new business opportunities.
• Lead, develop and maintain ongoing positive working relationships with contractors (motion picture studios, animation and visual effects companies) by representing the company to contact, meet, communicate, and negotiate with them.
• Serve as the face of the company to attend meetings, conferences and industrial events that are relevant to the company’s businesses.
• Oversee the development and delivery of business presentations and other communication events including project visiting and portfolio showing to key clients and partners.

1. A bachelor’s degree or higher in business administration, media, marketing or another related subject is required.
2. More than 3 years of work experience in marketing or sales prior to another 5 years of experience as a senior manager in a media/advertising company or organization is required.
3. Background in media marketing technique and interacting with website design, film production, entertainment or art companies is strongly preferred.
4. Accountability for developing and leading good working relationships to work effectively as an initiative leader of the team.
5. Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills, including written and verbal fluency in English.
6. Ability to interact effectively and tactfully with people of various backgrounds and cultures.
7. Critical decision-making skills, and a strong sense in understanding the company’s priorities.
8. Exceptional conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
