Quantum Academy, founded in 2009, is one of the few CIC designated learning institutes in Richmond. Quantum’s second campus was open in Fall 2018 in Vancouver. Originally, Quantum Academy was established with the goals to provide tutoring service in subjects such as ESL, English Academic Writing, Math, Chemistry and Physics. With many years’ development, we have extended our programs, designated by PTIB, to offer adults and international students who would like to study English, hospitality program and TEFL in Canada, and issue diplomas and certificates in those programs.

With the goal to support long-term business development, we are looking for an experienced School Director to join the team. It is a critical leadership role that impacts our short & long-term growth with overall responsibility for enhancing current management and operation performance, developing cross-functional services, leading program development projects and maintaining internal and external relationships.

Job Duties:
1. Establish the school’s short-term & long-term goals and strategies, oversee and evaluate the organizational operation and development of the school to align with its strategic priorities.
2. Oversee the school’s human resources operation, formulate and approve the hiring and promotional process in order to accomplish a successful middle manager selection procedure.
3. Responsible for the school’s annual budget planning, reporting and closely monitor and control the budget spending.
4. Ensure a healthy, positive culture of working and studying for staff and students by overseeing internal staff management and program delivery.
5. Plan, approve and implement the marketing activities that will directly impact the school’s student recruitment and brand exposure performance.
6. Manage and develop the existing and new staff training procedures to ensure efficient internal communication and best practice program delivery qualities.
7. Conduct public relation activities to maintain ongoing positive relationships with external partners, student agencies, community organizations, as well as school stakeholders.
8. Represent the school to contact, communicate and negotiate for key business issues while developing new development opportunities.
9. Report to the Board of Directors regarding budget spending, sales goals, key operational and program development matters, etc.

1. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
2. More than 3 years of experience as a senior manager in an educational institution is required.
3. Accountability for developing and leading good working relationships to work effectively as an initiative leader of the team.
4. Excellent interpersonal and intercultural communication skills.
5. Ability to interact effectively and tactfully within a team of various backgrounds and cultures.
6. Critical decision-making skills, and a strong sense in understanding the company’s priorities.
7. Exceptional conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
