Job Description
Kwik Stop Foods has Grocery, Cigarettes, Calling Cards, Money Transfer, Coffee, Free Wi-Fi, Sitting area, Screamers, Slushy, Pop, Chocolates, Candy, Chips, Milk, Smoothies, everything a convenience store needs. We are currently looking for one Store Supervisor to join immediately.

Job Duties
Supervise, co-ordinate and oversee sales staff while they operate Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making changes
Prepare and make bank deposits, maintains financial records such as the daily journal
Prepare work schedules; Open and/or close the store by performing duties such as placing and removing signage, opening and closing tills, unlocking and securing the store
Overseeing staff to ensure daily, weekly, monthly tasks are being completed in the store owner's absence
Working with owner, delivery drivers, and other vendors to ensure excellence in customer service
Monitor the activities of the store employees to maximize efficiency, minimize errors and respond to customer needs in a timely fashion
Prepare inventory orders by determining the stocks of produce and merchandise. Manage backroom stock and ensure adequate inventory levels on the sales floor
Authorize return of merchandise
Monitor and count merchandise
Resolve customer complaints and supply shortages
Maintain specified inventory
Prepare reports on sales volumes and merchandising
Open and/or close the store by performing duties such as placing and removing signage, opening and closing tills, unlocking and securing the store
Maintain the cleanliness of the store by ensuring that maintenance duties are completed
Adhering to all Safety Standards and enforcing guidelines in the store
Operates cash register and processes cash, debit card and credit card sale transactions
May be asked to perform duties as workers supervised such as point of sale system operation

Employment requirements
Completion of secondary school is required.
2-3 years of experience in retail sector, it does not have to supervisory. Any supervisory experience will be an asset.
Excellent communication skills in written and oral English.
Fast-paced environment; Work under pressure; Tight deadlines; Combination of sitting, standing.
Experience and working knowledge of MS Office applications.
Proven leadership abilities
Positive attitude and a pleasant disposition
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
Lift 50 lbs. boxes periodically throughout the day

Benefits
As per mutual agreement and BC Employment standards act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period with 10 days of unpaid vacation or option to chose 10 days of paid vacation with no vacation pay on each pay period.
