Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience: Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks or Completion of college or other program in cooking or three
years of commercial cooking experience are required.
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Standing for extended periods, Repetitive tasks, Overtime required

Specific Skills:
• Experience of preparing Indian cuisine
• Experience of using Indian clay oven (Tandoor)
• Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
• Create or plan menus, verify food portion size, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
• Inspect kitchens and food service areas
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Order supplies and equipment
• Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
• Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
• Clean kitchen and work areas
• Recruit and hire staff
• Organize and manage buffets and banquets
• Manage kitchen operations
