We are looking for two (2) positive, enthusiastic, hard-working, and reliable Baker’s to join our team at MARA Foodliner (Centex, Mara BC) located at 7702 BC-97A, Mara, BC V0E 2K0. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who is passionate about quality and is detail-orientated. You will be responsible for the following:
• Baking various breads, sweet rolls and pies
• Preparing butter and frosting for various recipes
• Ensuring health and safety guidelines are met appropriately
• Estimating bakery needs and making sure the inventory is stocked at all times
• Prepare dough for pies, breads and sweet goods.
• Maintain the bakery premises in a clean and neat manner
• Follow safety and sanitary practices while creating baked goods to avoid injury
• Arranging the display case in an appealing manner
• Support a clean environment that is ready for rush periods through regular clean up, organization, and stocking of the kitchen
• Regularly take temperature of required products, fridges and freezer, records information in the Time & Temperature Log
• Adhere to product shelf-life standards to ensure best quality product is available to guests
Requirements:
• Completion of High School is required
• 1-2 year of related experience in the food service industry, On the job training will be provided
• Availability to work a variety of hours, which may include weekends, evenings, early morning shifts and holidays
• Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English effectively
What we offer:
• $18.50/hr
• 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period
• Terms of Employment: Permanent Full-time position
