Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare food items, cook menu items and plate dishes as per standards
- Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications
- Work and deliver agreed standards in a fast-paced environment
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- Prepare, serve and store foods according to Health & Safety Guidelines; Maintain a clean and safe station
- Monitor food quality while preparing food
- Set up and break down/clean of station
- Work with and train kitchen helpers as required
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Executive Chef or Sous Chefs as required
Educational Requirements
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Other Requirements
- At least 6 months’ experience cooking in a fast paced, high-volume environment.
- Good multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Team player
- Ability to maintain a clean work environment
- Proficient in English verbal communication
- Ability to work under pressure
