Responsibilities:
• Monitor and perform diagnostics, repairs and schedule maintenance work involving all types of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, drive train and engine repairs on company heavy-duty equipment.
• Test repaired equipment ensuring manufacturers' specifications and legislated requirements.
• Inspect excavators, dozers, pipelayers, graders, loaders, and other heavy-duty equipment for defects/malfunctions and repair for optimum performance.
• Perform preventative and service maintenance on heavy-duty equipment.
• Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated, and well-maintained.
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, and/or systems.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 4 years experience as Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
• Ability to communicate and work with a team
• Physically able to lift to 50 lbs and work underneath equipment, in cramped or awkward positions, climbing on/off, getting in/out of heavy duty equipment
• Trades school certificate - an asset
