Mara Foodliner is a local one-stop shop and a Gas station located in Mara, BC having Gasoline, Midgrade and premium Diesel, Propane, Local produce, liquor, confectionery, lotto and ice-cream etc.
Mara Foodliner in Mara, BC is looking for one energetic individual as a Retail Supervisor for our site located at 7702 BC-97A, Mara, BC V0E 2K0. The position is full-time with 8 hours a day/40 hours a week. As a Retail Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the Gas Station while performing all duties described below:
• Report readings to the fuel delivery company (West Can Bulk) from the Veeder Report system (Radiant 200 Franklin).
• Ensure regular delivery of all types of fuel, propane (Regular, Premium & Diesel) through West Can bulk.
• Prepare and distribute weekly work schedules for staff.
• Assist store manager in recruitment and training of employees and report performance for new employees to the store manager.
• Conduct staff meetings to ensure easy and timely workflow.
• Ensure smooth functioning for the Point-of-sale system i.e., BULLOCH PT 9000.
• Train employees and perform conflict resolution if necessary.
• Prepare sales report on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
• Ensure smooth operation of POS system, debit and credit machines and reconciliation of CRND system at day-end.
• Ensure proper display management and tagging of merchandise is done proper disposal of the expired products as per the protocol.
• Ensure all products in store are fresh and authorize return of expired products to vendors.
• Ensure maintenance of facia, signage, and cleanliness as per company standards.
• Follow and ensure CENTEX guidelines are met at all times (Respecting others, being accountable, working as a team, Having fun at what we do!)
• Oversee and supervise retail staff, including cashiers, and people working on the floor.
• Ensure safety protocols are in place and followed by all staff.
• Ensure health standards are met.
• Maintain inventory and ensure store items are in stock (Retail store, Liquor,Gasoline, Propane).
Requirements:
• 1-2 years of retail experience and/or customer service experience.
• Availability to work a variety of hours, which may include weekends, evenings, early morning shifts and holidays.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English effectively.
• Basic math skills to handle cash and financial reports.
• Minimum education requirement: High School.

Determine staffing requirements; Manage staff and assign duties; Resolve problems that arise, such as customer complaints and supply shortages; Assist to Recruit, Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations; Strong interpersonal, verbal and written skills.

What we offer:
• $22.50/hr
• 4% Vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period
