Franchise Management Inc. (FMI) is one of the largest Franchise Operators in North America, owning and operating several stores of KFC among other fast-food stores such as Pizza Hut, Panera Bread, Taco Bell and Burger King across different provinces and states.

FMI Atlantic Inc has embarked on a major expansion for their KFC restaurants in Ontario. The business address is 417, Connell Street Woodstock New Brunswick E7M 5G5. We are currently hiring a Restaurant Assistant Manager at our KFC store at Timmins in Ontario.

Employment requirements

• Completion of high school education
• At least 1 year of Supervisory experience in the commercial food service or hospitality industry;

OR Any other relevant equivalent qualification

• Demonstrated organizational/time-management and problem-solving skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent work ethic and demonstrates integrity
• Proven ability to plan and delegate
• Demonstrated ability to coach and train others
• Ability to calculate/analyze data
• Basic business, math and accounting skills
• Available to work on flexible shifts, nights and week-ends
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Organization skills and ability to multitask
• Language: English

Duties & Responsibilities
• Responsible for providing leadership in the restaurant - recognizing and motivating Shift leaders, Shift managers and team members; coaching and training the team in order to achieve operational excellence.
• Directly perform hands-on operational work on an on-going basis to train and develop team members, Shift leaders and Shift managers, respond to customer service needs and for the purpose of role-modeling appropriate skills and behaviors in the restaurant.
• Cash handling, reconciling cash and daily paperwork
• Assist in the management of day-to-day operations by managing labour, counting and ordering inventory and supplies and developing the restaurant team.
• Supervise others effectively and coordinate their work efficiently.
• Analyze sales, labour, inventory and controllable on a continual basis and take corrective action to meet or achieve daily or weekly margin and sales growth targets.
• Ensure Occupational Safety & Health Act, local health and safety codes and corporate safety/security policies and procedures are met and followed.
• Ensure that facility and equipment are maintained to company standards on a day-to-day basis.
• Recruit and select qualified, high energy team members using approved tools and systems.
• Assist the Restaurant General Manager (RGM) with performance management issues and apply progressive discipline when appropriate.
• Assist RGM in preparing action plans to address in-store issues and have ability to effectively communicate these plans to the team.
• Assist RGM with local restaurant marketing activities and new product rollouts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, franchisees and other corporate contact.

$19.50 per hour
