Job Duties
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring smooth functioning of all activities related to sourcing, importing, distribution, and labeling of food items.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes for food products, including inspections, compliance with safety standards, and adherence to food handling regulations.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to facilitate the sourcing and purchasing of food items, ensuring adequate stock levels to meet customer demand.
- Oversee the distribution process, ensuring on-time deliveries, managing delivery routes, and addressing any logistical challenges that may arise.
- Lead and manage the warehouse staff, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
- Enforce and maintain safety protocols, ensuring that all warehouse operations comply with relevant safety regulations, and manage the warehouse's cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment and machinery and arrange for maintenance and repair work
- Monitor and control warehouse-related expenses, optimizing operational costs while preserving product quality and service excellence.
- Train workers in job duties.
- Continuously evaluate warehouse processes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure a steady supply of quality food products and packaging materials.
