Responsibilities/Tasks
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and building plans.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Prepare layouts, build foundations, and construct & install building frameworks, including walls, floors, floor beams, lay subfloors, and doorframes, according to building codes.
- Fit and install fixtures such as windows, trims, doors, flooring, stairs, and molding.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on existing structures and renovate residential structures.
- Comply with legal requirements, building codes, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals.
- Apply finishes to completed structures.
- Prepare and clean up the construction site.
