Work Location: Candidate is required to work at various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, as per company contracts.
Wage rate: $31.25 per hour (40 hours per week)
Education: High School
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
Language: English.
Job Duties:
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems.
• Install, Repair and maintain domestic plumbing fixtures and systems.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.
• Cut the opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
• Test pipes for leak using air and water pressure gauges.
• Perform other work-related duties as required.
• Review work order and discuss work with supervisor.
Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time in the day or evening or on weekends, if required.
Working Conditions: Candidate should be able to lift weight (50lbs). Should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, rain, or shine.
Other Information: Candidate must be eligible to work in Canada. Position is available and open to Aboriginal persons, youth, new immigrants.
