License: Class 1 or A or equivalent license required. Air brake endorsement (Z) is required to operate vehicles equipped with air brakes
Work Condition: Early Morning, Day, Evening, Weekends
Language: Basic English

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Benefits: overtime wage 1.5 times/hr if work exceeded after 50 hours/week, 2 days paid sick leaves, 4% vacation pay of gross salary.

Job Duties:
• Load and unload goods
• Operate and drive long combination vehicles, special purpose trucks and straight – body trucks to transport goods and materials over long distances
• Perform pre- trip, en route and post trip inspection of vehicle, equipment and accessories such as tires, lights, turning signals, brakes etc.
• Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
• Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements
• Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Drive as part of a two person team or convoy
• Administer bills of lading and maintain log books
• Communicate with dispatcher, other drivers and customers using communication devices and on – board computers
