Description

Highway 41 Water Utility operates a water distribution system delivering safe potable water to 500 service connections East and Northeast of Saskatoon, based in Aberdeen.

We are currently looking for a qualified person to join our operations team that can meet the job requirements listed as:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required:

    Test water quality at various distribution points, collect and submit samples for laboratory analysis.
    Monitor and maintain pipeline equipment such as distribution valves and maintenance systems.
    Keep accurate and detailed records of events.
    Have the ability to make minor repairs and adjustments to buildings and equipment.
    Be willing to work with minimal supervision.
    Be able to communicate with subscribers, contractors, suppliers and team members with tact and courtesy.
    Understand hydrodynamics and effects on distribution systems.
    Be on call through rotating shift work.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum OCB WD1 certificate or willing to obtain required certificate and training.
    Valid class 5 drivers license, provide Drivers abstract.
    Must have ability to perform physical labour.
    Must be mechanically inclined.
    Working knowledge of computer software packages.

Assets you offer include:

    Plumbing Experience.
    Can interpret blueprints/maps/schematics.
    Electrical/digital PLC operational systems.
    Proficient in GPS technology.
