We are seeking applications for our 2024-2025 School Year Elementary Teacher open call. We have multiple contracts available, in locations across the district. We welcome all who are interested to apply.

Grasslands is located in the southeastern part of the province and serves a population of about 3,577 students in Brooks, Alcoma, Bassano, Duchess, Gem, Rolling Hills, Rosemary, and Tilley. Job Duties:

  • identify students’ individual and collective learning needs;
  • plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs;
  • provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to their potential;
  • help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills;
  • meet with parents;
  • evaluate and communicate student progress;
  • prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help;
  • meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress;
  • volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities; and
  • attend meetings, seminars and in-service training sessions.

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor of Education
  • Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate, or certificated in a different province, and able to obtain an Alberta Certificate before start date.

Successful applicants will be required to submit before start date :

  • Current Criminal Record Check (CRC) with Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
