Responsibilities
Tasks
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations
• Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
• Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery
• Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools
• Clean and maintain work space
Job Duties
• Programming and Operating CNC Plasma Table
• Organize and cut plate per drawings and project requirements
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality control of cut material
• Part clean up, labelling, packaging complete orders
• Report to Shop foreman and Operations Manager of complete orders.
• Perform preventative equipment maintenance of CNC machine
• Manage raw material inventory and ensure material is stocked correctly
• Always carry out tasks in a safe and conscientious manner
• Operate forklift to handle in and out of the shop and in the yard
• Load and unload trucks of complete orders
• Operate band saw, chop saw, and various hand tools as required
• Complete other tasks as necessary to help meet the goals of the organization
