Job Summary

  • Acting as an organizational subject matter expert for performance measurement theory and related central agency policies and tools and how to apply them across all areas of the organization;
  • Acting as a primary point of contact for matters relating to evidence-based decision making and performance measurement, and providing effective advice/facilitation and other support to program areas on the design/development and continuous improvement of logic models, performance indicators, Program Performance Information Profiles (PIPs), program data analysis and reporting;
  • Providing advice and facilitation services to support the development of performance measurement strategies and information for organizational initiatives and on the integration of performance measurement strategies and information into corporate documents and tools;
  • Supporting data collection, analysis and the development of corporate performance measurement reports; 
  • Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders in support of implementing a program informed by community best practices;
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the Program Inventory and Departmental Results Framework.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree

The degree must be obtained from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada. If you completed a program outside of Canada you will be required to obtain proof of a Canadian equivalency at your expense from an accredited learning institution recognized in Canada.

NOTE: Any higher level of education (i.e.: Masters, Doctorate) could be recognized as experience.  

Experience

Significant experience* in

  • Analyzing and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data from multiple sources;
  • Providing advice (written and oral) on complex** matters to employees at all levels;
  • Experience building and maintaining effective partnerships and working collaboratively with internal or external stakeholders.

* Significant experience is defined as experience, normally gained over a period of three to five (3-5) years, and in which these tasks are performed on an ongoing basis as part of the principal duties of the position.

** The breadth and depth of sought experience involve files of various complexities, multiple issues, partners or clients, impacts or risks.

Assets

An asset qualification is a qualification which can enhance the ability to perform the work based on current and future business requirements, but which is not strictly required. Assets can help determine right fit in certain circumstances.

  • Experience in planning, reporting and performance measurement at the corporate or program level;
  • Experience in developing logic models and performance indicators or collecting and analyzing performance results information or knowledge of and adherence to the Policy on Results.
