Responsibilities

Tasks

  • Collect, consolidate, cross-tabulate and format data
  • Research origins and history of artifacts
  • Research the origins and historical significance of archival materials
  • Perform clerical duties, such as maintain filing systems
  • Interview patients to obtain case histories
  • Develop storyline and theme of displays and exhibitions
  • Collect and record data
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Identify, label and catalogue items received
  • Prepare mock-ups and storyboards
  • Develop and maintain archival collection
  • Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for museum exhibitions, trade shows, conventions, retail spaces and other exhibitions
  • Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  • Put archival materials on microfilm or in databases
  • Organize noncurrent archives and develop cataloguing and retrieval systems to allow access to archival materials
