Friendz at 5 Corners Childcare in Langley is looking for Two permanent and full time Registered Early Childhood Educator Assistants. We welcome and encourage youth, new immigrants and aboriginal candidates to apply.
JOB DUTIES/DESCRIPTION:
* Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
* Assist early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
* Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
* Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
* Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
* Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
* Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
* Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians or supervisor
* Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
* Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Completion of Secondary Education is required.
Certification: A Valid Early Childhood Educator Assistant Certificate issued from ECE Registry
Experience: No experience is required. On job training will be provided.
Language: Proficiency in English language required.
Number of Positions: 2
Salary: $21.00/hour for 32 to 40 hours per week along with 4% vacation Pay of the gross income or paid two weeks vacation.
