Merivale Noodle House located at 1519 Merivale Rd, Nepean, ON K2G 3J3 is a highly esteemed venue for buffet and menu à la carte and caters for special events such as business meetings/conferences and corporate dinner parties. Merivale Noodle House is well known for its high standard of culinary excellence. We are urgently looking for a highly experienced, creative and innovative experienced Chef with at least 2 years of experience in preparing and cooking traditional Vietnamese Cuisine and familiarity with special Vietnamese cooking techniques, herbs and spices.
Job Description:
As a full-time Chef you will be required to work morning, evening and weekend. The applicant should be team worker, punctual, proactive, outgoing and dependable and be required to perform the following tasks:
• Prepare and cook complete authentic Vietnamese recipes.
• Follow daily menu list to prepare authentic recipes for the restaurant.
• Prepare pre-cook ingredients such as blanching, blending, brewing, chopping, cutting, dicing, grating, kneading,
roasting, sprouting, stewing, steeping, steaming and simmering.
• Prepare and mix ingredients with specific species to create the right balance of taste.
• Marinate the firsthand products for final cooking/grilling.
• Create new recipes according to specific request of the clients.
• Oversee kitchen operations and ensure quality of the food.
• Adapt menu dishes to accommodate customers with food orders.
• Work with specialized cooking equipment, such as the oven and deep fryer.
• Ensure high standards of food hygiene and health and safety rules in the kitchen.
