Shifty Eye Studio Ltd is looking for a Network Administrator NOC 22220

Duties and responsibilities as Network Administrator:

- Design, implement, and maintain the studio's network infrastructure such as LAN/WAN configurations, routers, switches, firewalls and other networking equipment to ensure reliable connectivity for game development teams.
- Implement and enforce security protocols to protect the studio's network from cyber threats, including malware, viruses, and unauthorized access.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues to ensure minimal downtime for game development teams. Optimize network configurations to maximize speed, reliability, and efficiency.
Provide technical support to studio staff for network-related issues, including connectivity problems, VPN access, and file sharing issues.
- Assist with setting up and configuring network-connected devices such as computers, consoles, and development kits.
- Work closely with IT teams to integrate network infrastructure with other studio systems such as servers, databases, and cloud services. Collaborate with game development teams to ensure network requirements are met for online multiplayer games and other network-dependent features.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery plans to protect critical studio data in case of network failures or other emergencies.
- Regularly test backup systems to ensure data integrity and recovery readiness.
- Maintain documentation of network configurations, protocols, and procedures for reference by studio staff.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on network usage, security best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Evaluate and select vendors for network hardware, software, and services. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors to ensure timely delivery and support for network infrastructure.
- Stay informed about industry standards, best practices, and regulatory requirements related to network security and data privacy. Ensure the studio's network infrastructure complies with relevant regulations such as GDPR or industry-specific security standards.
- Identify opportunities for improving network performance, security, and efficiency through technology upgrades, process improvements, or procedural changes. Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in networking to anticipate future needs and challenges.
