Working with Richardson opens the door to a world of possibility. We currently have an opportunity for a Quality Assurance Technician (Term) at our Yorkton, SK location.
Responsibilities:
-Full chemical analysis on all stages of oil processing from seed to refined, bleached and deodorized oils
-Ensure products are being made according to documented internal Richardson and customer requirements
-Providing release approval to pre-load and load oil products
-Provide analysis for non-conforming products and feedback to production on required analysis
-Verify incoming raw materials meet food safety quality requirements
-Conduct retained sample collection and ensure samples are controlled for the required period of time
-Recognize actual / potential food safety and quality issues
-Conduct inspection and testing analysis on incoming raw materials, additional in-process and finished product
-Formulation of additives blends
-Carrying out Food Safety Audits
Qualifications:
-Grade 12 or equivalent
-Degree or diploma in Food Science, Microbiology or Chemistry  an asset
-3  5 years previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
-Familiar with GMP and HACCP
-Excellent computer, written, documentation and verbal communication skills
-Must be willing to work shifts and overtime
