Under the direction of the Program Coordinator and the Youth Program Facilitator,
1. Instruct and facilitate program activities that are developmentally appropriate for participants (ages 6-13 years)
2. Organize and provide appropriate games, activities, follow and implement planned curriculum and education for participants as outlined.
3. Set up and take down of equipment, art and craft activities, and other activities as indicated in program outline.
4. Set up and take down as required for all snacks and lunches daily.
5. Supervise children during all program activities.
6. Provide a supportive environment in which participants can learn and practice appropriate and acceptable individual and group behaviors.
7. Interact with parent(s)/guardian(s). Maintain open and cooperative communication with parents and families as directed by the Program Coordinator.
8. Encourage involvement of parent(s)/guardian(s) in the program and support the family relationships with the support of the Program Coordinator.
9. Complete daily inventories of equipment, other supplies, and attendance.
10. Perform miscellaneous job related duties, as assigned.
11. Promote and support healthy lifestyles and relationships for Al Ritchie residents.
12. Promote the Al Ritchie Community Association and its other programs and opportunities.
13. Identify areas of concern with program participants and their families and bring these concerns to the attention of their supervisor.
