Description

The MOA of Battlefords Family Health Centre (Rapid Access to Addiction Medicine clinic, Opioid Addictions Recovery Services, and Battlefords Sexual Health Centre) will work under the supervision of the Clinic Coordinator of BFHC.

This position is responsible for providing clinical support to the Physicians and Nurse Practitioner working out of RAAM/OARS/BSHC.  This includes medical office assistant duties, including reception, booking appointments, recording vitals, and general office duties which provide clerical and administrative support to team members of RAAM/OARS/BSHC, as assigned by the Clinic Coordinator.

There are no guaranteed hours of work for this position, scheduled work will be between Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Qualifications and Skills

* Degree, diploma, or certificate from a recognized educational institution in a field related to medical office assistant support or have demonstrated knowledge and experience as they relate to commonly used medical equipment and clinical assistant procedures in a medical office.
* Demonstrated organizational abilities and interpersonal skills to meet the reception and clinical needs of two or more clinicians.
* Previous experience working in a multidisciplinary clinical health setting employing a variety of health professionals and paraprofessionals is an asset.
*Ability to work independently with demonstrated planning, organization skills and strong communication skills.
* Must demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues facing Indigenous people
* Must provide a successful current criminal record check with vulnerable sector
* Confidentiality is essential
