Job description: This company is looking for one full time, permanent Transportation Manager to join their team.
Job Duties:
• Plan and coordinate transportation operations, including route optimization, scheduling, and mode of transport selection.
• Recruit, train, manage supervise transportation staff, including drivers, dispatchers, and administrative personnel.
• Track organizational or departmental performance, compile reports for upper management, and strategize adjustments to timetables and protocols.
• Establish operational guidelines and benchmarks, encompassing safety protocols for hazardous material handling, and enforce adherence to transportation laws.
• Monitor the scheduling, upkeep and maintenance of vehicles. Oversee the transportation costs and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Oversee , manage and develop aspects of company’s budget by allocating the resources to different areas of transportation, monitoring expense and controlling the cost
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and maintain positive relationships with clients.
• Develop contingency plans and respond effectively to emergencies or unexpected disruptions in transportation operations.
• Promote environmentally sustainable practices within transportation operations.
Job Requirements:
• Completion of Bachelor’s Degree or extensive experience in the relevant field is required.
• 2-3 years of relevant experience is necessary.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
