The Information Services Division are technology leaders, planning and delivering successful solutions with information management and information technology (IM/IT) services to both the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (SDPR) and the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). The division also provides IM/IT resource planning, decision-making, project and issues management, security and privacy functions, and desktop support. Our guiding principle is to promote a service delivery culture that is respectful, fosters positive relationships, and promotes creative problem solving with all our staff and partners in the Social Sector. The Senior Data Architect provides expert data analysis, data design, data management, data governance, data modeling and data quality services. This position develops data architecture, data standards, data policies and data products to ensure integrity for the data resource and leadership in managing information as a valuable, sustainable asset. Job Requirements: Masters degree in a computer science related field and two (2) years related experience; OR Bachelors degree in a computer science related field and three (3) years related experience; OR Diploma in a computer science related field and four (4) years related experience; OR Certificate or coursework in a computer science related field and five (5) years related experience; OR An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Related experience includes the following: Experience at an intermediate analyst level. Experience leading project teams. Experience in managing contracts and projects. Experience in information resource management, data management principles and structured analysis and design. Experience in corporate data design, relational and/or object data modeling, and data analysis. Experience in data warehousing and/or business area analysis techniques, and documentation of business requirements. Preference may be given to candidates with: Degree in data science, or equivalent data-related field. Experience using tools used to identify and manage structured and unstructured data. Experience using data governance technologies. Experience in data security, data privacy, and data quality. Experience facilitating and coaching people for change adoption, including group processes. Experience in product design and practices gained working in a product, project, or service capacity. Experience with current agile project management practices, open source, cloud platforms and digital services. Scrum certification: Product Owner or Scrum Master Certification.
