This job contributes to Amato Gelato Cafes’ success by assisting the manager in executing store operations during scheduled shifts. This job deploys teammates and delegates tasks so that teammates can create and maintain the Amato Gelato Cafe experience of Italian Culture and Lifestyle for our customers. job duties:
• supervise and direct café staff and assign daily tasks;
• work with the management team to implement proper division of responsibilities;
• provide hands-on leadership and support to café staff;
• schedule staff and adjust schedules in accordance with operational needs;
• ensure quality control and follow food safety and food handling procedures;
• support safety officer to enforce regulations, laws, and established policies;
• conduct routine inspections of incoming food and beverage products for quality assurance;
• prepare, calibrate, and monitor food and beverage machinery to obtain optimal production levels;
• perform inventory and order supplies (beverage & food products);
• train and evaluate new staff members;
• ensure the highest level of customer service;
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• maintain records of sales, waste, labour cost, and cash reports;
• Prepare shift summary reports and communicate daily goals and progress with the management.
• Able to work periodically in walk-in freezer
• Able to lift boxes weighing up to 15 lbs.
• Support staff during peak business hours and able to cover shifts when needed.
• Full knowledge of café menu products and preparation
ability to supervise: 5-10 people; Food service counter attendants and food preparers
terms of employment: permanent full-time; 35 hours per week
