MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly accounting statements, financial position and budgetary updates;
• Creation and maintenance of an annual budget, business plan and financial forecasts;
• Managing the accounting operations including the review of journal entries, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and statutory reporting;
• Maintaining all records on company transactions, purchases, inventory, transfers and assets;
• Establishing and monitoring internal controls to ensure that accounting activities are in accordance with established legal regulatory and company policies and procedures
• Preparing & processing government remittances and reporting;
• Ensuring payable invoices are processed to maximize discounts taken and paid within established parameters;
• Documenting monthly bank reconciliations and processing deposits;
• Preparing accurate balance sheets, income statements sheets, reconciliations and month end/ year-end adjustments to support the month end/year-end financial statements;
• Analyz information pertaining to accounting, financial and administration, advising of anomalies and suggesting solutions.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Diploma or above in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related specialty
• A minimum of 3 years financial experience
• An analytical mind with problem-solving skills
• Attention to Detail, and deadline-oriented
