Senior Project Manager to encourage lean agile software development principles and coordinate daily scrum huddles for a crown corporation client

Our valued crown corporation client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to encourage lean agile software development principles and coordinate daily scrum huddles!

Initial 1-year contract in Ottawa, ON with strong possibility of extension for a total term of 3 years. Hybrid: minimum 10 days/month (2-3 days per week) on-site in downtown Ottawa. 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday (37.5 hours/week).

Responsibilities

• Assist with creating the existing work breakdown into a comprehensive working plan
• Coordinate daily scrum huddles encouraging lean agile software development principles.
• Coordinate work with members of various stakeholder groups
• Highlight and escalate issues and blockers appropriately
• Assist with creating and maintaining a robust high-level Gantt and RAG status dashboard reporting to Senior management

Must-Have Skills

• 10+ years as a Project Manager supporting IT infrastructure and Software Development (SDLC) projects for large enterprise organizations
• Demonstrated experience working with lean agile SDLC principles
• Demonstrated experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Github) and methodologies
• Demonstrated experience with delivery in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environments
• Demonstrated experience with supporting teams through various types of testing including, disaster recovery, performance/load, functional and full regression.

Nice-to-have Skills

• Bilingualism (English & French)
• Demonstrated experience working with JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow and/or similar collaborative delivery tools.
