Job details
Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Urban area. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Level earth to fine grade specifications. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Personal protective equipment (PPE) training. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Area of work experience: Teaching. Education or teaching. Construction specialization: Residential. Transportation/travel information: Willing to travel regularly. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Manual dexterity. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads.
