Job Overview:
Interior painters apply paint, stain, and finishes to interior surfaces of residential/commercial buildings. They prepare surfaces, use various painting tools, ensure precise application, collaborate with clients on colour selection, prioritize safety, and work independently or in teams to complete projects efficiently.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and clean surfaces to be painted using methods such as scraping, sanding, sandblasting, hydro-blasting and steam-cleaning; remove old wallpaper and loose paint; repair cracks and holes in walls; and sandpaper and apply sealer
- Mix and thin paint to obtain desired colour and texture
- Measure, cut and apply wallpaper and other fabric to walls
- Advise consumers on colours and choice of wall coverings
- Apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior surfaces
- Provide cost estimates to clients
- Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and maintain a healthy work environment
- Clean and maintain painting tools and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Secondary school graduation certificate required
- 2 ~ 3 years of experience required.
Wage
- Salary: $25 per hour for 30~40 hours a week at 52 weeks a year
