Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work setting: Dairy department. Produce department. Frozen foods department. Supermarket/grocery store. Tasks: Obtain articles for customers from shelf or stockroom. Direct customers to location of articles sought. Unpack products received by store and count, weigh or sort items. Order stock. Record incoming stock. Stock shelves and display areas. Keep stock clean and in order. Price items using stamp or stickers according to price list. Perform general cleaning duties (i.e. sweeping, mopping floors). Process electronic transactions using computer equipment. Provide customer service. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Weight handling: Up to 9 kg (20 lbs). Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
