The Finance and Operations Department are responsible for ensuring an efficient and effective administrative support system for the operations of BRT6HC. As a member of the Finance and Operation Team; the Finance Officer is responsible for providing financial support and assisting in the management of the financial function for BRT6HC.

General Accounting Responsibilities and Duties:
* Manage and maintain accurate records for all daily transactions, code, record, and payment processing
* Process and maintain purchase order system, accounts payable and accounts receivable
* Process and reconcile all expense related reports
* Code income receipts, direct deposit, and prepare bank deposits.
* Prepare and input journal entries
* Preparing weekly cheque runs, EFT and direct deposit runs

Qualifications
* Post-Secondary Diploma in accounting or bookkeeping or combined with several years of experience as a finance clerk (experience with Sage300 would be considered an asset)
*Demonstrates knowledge of the accounting cycle, excellent problem solver and possess strong communication skills
* Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
* Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of traditional First Nation values and beliefs, and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures
* High degree of confidentiality is essential
* Valid Class 5
