Duties include but are not limited to:
Adhere to all policies and procedures of Flying Dust First Nation and educational institutions FDFN students attend.
Represent FDFN Education at various school, community and interagency meetings.
Monitor student academic performance while building a positive and supportive rapport with students attending high school and post-secondary education institutions.
Develop a database for CHS and TPEC student records which include tracking student performance (3 As attendance, academics and attitude) filing student forms and data, monitoring any case plans in place for students.
Update PSSSP student data in the ASAP system and office filing system in a consistent manner.
Conduct regular home, school (CHS/TPEC) and student visits (PSSSP);
The day-to-day operation and administration of the Post-Secondary Student Support Program (PSSSP) and Indigenous Skills, Employment and Training Strategy (ISETS) program in accordance to current policy
Qualifications:
Must lead a healthy role model lifestyle.
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Preference will be given to any applicant with post-secondary education or training in the field.
A minimum of 1-3 years experience working with students in a school or education setting.
Excellent writing and reporting skills, oral and public speaking skills, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all members, staff and external agencies.
Ability to formulate and administer program budgets.
