We are hiring an Aircraft mechanic for our client in Yorkton.
Job duties:
1. Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft systems and components to ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications and aviation safety standards.
2. Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance by conducting diagnostic tests, identifying faults, and replacing or repairing defective parts using hand tools and technical manuals.
3. Disassemble, repair, and reassemble aircraft structures and control surfaces using precision tools, ensuring structural integrity and airworthiness.
4. Maintain accurate maintenance records and service logs in accordance with Transport Canada regulations and company policies to ensure complete traceability of all repair and inspection work.
5. Coordinate with engineers, pilots, and technical staff to evaluate operational problems and implement effective corrective actions to minimize aircraft downtime.
6. Adhere strictly to safety protocols and aviation maintenance standards by following company procedures and Transport Canada airworthiness directives during all maintenance activities.
Education:
1. Completion of a college or vocational program in aircraft maintenance or aerospace technology is required.
2. Certification by Transport Canada is mandatory to work as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME).
Experience:
At least 2 to 4 years of on-the-job training and work experience in aircraft maintenance are typically required.
