Education
• Completion of a college diploma or university degree in electrical engineering technology, electronics, automation, or a related field.
Experience
• 2+ years of experience in PLC/HMI programming, electrical panel design, or industrial automation support.
• 2+ years of experience in troubleshooting and maintaining control systems in food processing, refrigeration, or similar industrial environments.

Tasks and Responsibilities
• Design and develop power equipment and systems
• Service equipment
• Supervise the building and testing of prototypes

• Assist in design, development and testing
• Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications and reports
• Conduct safety training programs
• Conduct or supervise the installation, commissioning, and operation of electrical and electronic equipment and systems

Detailed Responsibilities:
• Design schematics, program PLC and HMI, as well as develop and test new control panel systems for process optimization and production system improvement
• Test, analyze and update existing schematics and PLC/HMI programs and schematics to support freezer system improvements and integration.
• Diagnose, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in PLC/HMI programs, electrical installation and wiring
• Identify freezer application process issues related to the operation, sanitation and maintenance
• Monitor and analyze all the freezers in the monitoring system and collects production data to improve efficiency; provide appropriate technical support, solutions, and alternatives within the time limits when necessary.
• Complete field modification instructions and prepare documentation in accordance with system requirements and specifications
• Keep up to date on administrative responsibilities such as final schematics and programs, process flow charts, SOPs and customer service logs in a timely manner
• Provide training to customer's operators on the use and maintenance of control systems
• Escalate and document significant freezer system issues and client complaints in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance with health and safety and/or all other applicable regulatory requirements
• Manage and handle incoming calls and answer customers' inquiries.
• Maintain communications with customers to ensure prompt resolution and proper follow-up, leading to customer satisfaction
• Perform 24/7 roster shift schedules
• Business travel abroad is required
• Other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
• Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming tools (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Danfoss, ABB, and SEW-Eurodrive VFDs).
• Strong understanding of electrical schematics and industrial wiring standards.
• Familiarity with freezer/refrigeration systems and related monitoring software is an asset.
• Competency in reading and modifying electrical and control drawings.
• Willingness to work a rotating 24/7 shift schedule.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer support and training.
• Business travel is often required to support on-site installations, training, and troubleshooting.
