Description

The Janitor/Maintenance at Eagle Heart Centre, including its Family Learning Place and Caring Nest Head Start, this role encompasses more than just maintenance tasks. It involves creating a welcoming and clean environment for children, families, and staff. The janitor is not just responsible for cleaning but also for minor maintenance, ensuring a safe and operational facility. Under the Executive Director supervision, this role supports the center's mission and values, contributing significantly to the overall atmosphere and functionality of the space, thus playing a crucial role in the daily life of the center.

Education:
Must have a Grade 12 or GED Certificate.  Must possess at least two (2) years experience in maintenance of buildings and basic repairs-i.e. Plumbing, heating, carpentry, etc.
Qualifications:
-Must be motivated and possess the ability to work independently with minimum supervision,
-Maintain major building systems, building infrastructure(interior/exterior) grounds and general facilities maintenance, including snow removal,
-WHMIS Certificate,
-Ability to stand, kneel, bent for long periods,
-Ability to perform physical labor such as moving furniture, equipment, and climbing,
-Provide a valid drivers licence and drivers abstract,
-Ability to provide a Criminal Record Check,
-Demonstrates a commitment to Truth and Reconciliation,
