Job Duties:
• Measure and cut drywall sheets and lay them on walls and ceilings.
• Precisely secure the sheets on different platforms
• Fill all sorts of joints and holes on walls and ceilings with joint compounds using different tools like trowel etc.
• Securing joints using a taping machine.
• Remove the excess compound or material on walls and ceilings to smoothen the surface and allow the coat to dry
• Put on successive coats of the compound to fill in the joints
Job Requirements:
• Completion of secondary school would be an asset but is not mandatory.
• Experience in the trade would be preferred but not mandatory.
• Work at heights, on scaffolding or swings
• Ability to lift heavy objects: required to lift to 40 lbs.
