About us
Bit Service Company Ltd. is a Saskatchewan manufacturer and distributor of mining products and equipment, founded in 1965.
Locally owned and operated, employing professionals between Esterhazy and our head office in Saskatoon, we have grown to provide full design, fabrication and repair of cutting assemblies for underground mining and tunnelling equipment, including cutting optimization and wear reduction.
Primary Responsibilities:
FEA simulation of mechanical and thermal conditions
Collaborate with engineers, production, other team members to resolve design challenges and refine details
Perform calculations and material specifications as required for design accuracy and feasibility
Review and revise drawings based on feedback or changes in project scope
Participate in the rapid prototyping and alternative design processes
Create digital representations of product models
Ensure drawings meet organizational and industry standards
Supports research and development
Supports robotic systems programming
Product improvement and development
Create detailed product specifications and performance criteria
Analyze and report on collected data from R&D work and field trials
Identify technical capabilities of suppliers
Identify technical requirements of clients  
Coordinate with outsourced engineering studies
Implement methodologies where appropriate to improve efficiency
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field with 3-5 years experience.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-starter with a hands-on approach and work collaboratively with others.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.
Experience with 2D and 3D modeling.
Process control and/or project management capabilities
