The Facility Management and Security Services Division is currently seeking a dynamic individual who will, under the supervision of the Director, Facility management and Security Services, plan, organize, control and manage all phases (short, medium and long) of CMCC facilities and life-cycle plans, operations, maintenance and repairs and the architectural and engineering design and construction services for all of the CMCC Real Properties; manage capital projects and the budget of the Facility Management Section with budget authority and contractual award authority up to $12.5k; manage the development of policies, standards, procedures and guidelines for Real Property Management; manage the acquisition and disposal of Real Property; manage employees of the Facility Management Section of the CMCC; and perform other related duties as assigned. As the ideal candidate, you hold a University degree in mechanical engineering and eligibility for certification as a Professional Engineer in Canada, or, a three year college diploma in technology related to a building science discipline, combined with an accreditation as a Facilities Management Administrator (FMA) and five years of practical experience. You possess knowledge of: � General principles of management; � Industry standards in contracting with professionals such as Architects, Engineers and Construction Contractors; � Facility management delivery process from pre-planning and programming, through design, construction, commissioning; � Principles of mechanical engineering and design; � Critical design analysis; � Building science and technology as applicable to institutional and commercial buildings; � Building operation and maintenance.
